standing just like that for what seemed like forever. Just thinking, I
guess. Maybe about the flowers she had competition selling by a dozen other florists.
Kind eyes, a very strict posture, but still not unfriendly. When I
walked up to her to show her the photograph I just shot, she
smiled, ran her hand gently over my cheek and nodded. I don´t really
know what she meant by that, but it was all good. We were good. Not
knowing each other, but still managing to feel so close. Just like that. Boarders and age don´t matter. I should travel more. I will travel more. Thank you for sharing your gentle touch with me old lady, and for reminding me that people aren´t always what they seem.

Deilige Hvar. det var lenge siden

Lyst til å besøke en perle av ei øy, en knapp times båtur utenfor Spilt? Dra til Hvar. Deilige, deilige hvar. Mye mer samla enn Split, hav og folk i skjønn forening. Fiskere og fisk. Rene gater med brostein, digge restaurranter og hyggelige folk over alt. Ekte folk, gamle folk med minner fra en svunnen tid. Unge folk, opptatt
av nuet. Smilende. Lurer på hva han tenkte på, fiskeren fra Hvar.
Fisken han skulle til å koke på den lille primusen kanskje. Eller
kanskje ikke. Vi snakket ikke samme språk, men han gestikulerte at det
var greit at jeg knipsa, så da knipsa jeg da. Og tenker på han
innimellom. Og på hvordan tegnspråk og hyggelige gester er et
internationalt språk. Takket høflig nei til fisk, men fikk smil i
massevis.

They say that vampires really can´t stand the odor of garlic. Why, I really can´t figure out, but believing this- my neck has probably never been safer than in Split, Croatia. Guys and dolls selling the white wonder all over the local foodmarked, surrounded by acient buildings and a delightful sense of history. Thank you Mr. Garlic Man for reminding me of why I love to travel so much. Loved meeting your eyes.
